Óbuda - Békásmegyer

Óbuda is the oldest part of Budapest. It’s situated in the northern part of the city, on the right-hand side of Danube, at the foot of Buda and Pilis Mountains. It was established and inhabited since the antiquity, and was also part of the Roman Empire. Római-part (Roman Bank), Budapest’s water sport center and popular destination for weekend excursions can be found here, too. Óbuda Island, the place of many social events and gatherings, also belongs to the 3rd district.
